Who we are
We are a group that meets every second week to practice public speaking, learn leadership skills, socialize and to simply have a great time!
Famous Toastmasters of Wiesbaden is a chapter of the Toastmasters International, a nonprofit organization that “has nearly 250,000 members in over 12,000 clubs in 106 countries, offering a proven – and enjoyable! – way to practice and hone communication and leadership skills.”
Members (and guests if they are willing!) prepare and present speaches at each meeting which are then evaluated by fellow members. The friendly environment offers a great place to learn public speaking skills.
We develop Public Speaking skills by:
- Holding prepared speaches
- Holding impromptu speaches
- Evaluating the speaches of others
We develop Leadership skills by:
- Serving as Toastmaster of the Evening
- Serving as Table Topics Master
- Evaluating speaches of other members
- Serving as an Officer
